Frankfurt, May 7, 2023.<\/strong> Artificial intelligence writes texts and designs illustrations. Simple voice commands are often sufficient for this. The basis is deep learning. This is an artificial neural network modeled on the human brain. Overall, the potential applications seem almost limitless. <\/p>

“Generative AI can no longer be described as a science fiction fairy tale. Rather, it is already perceptibly influencing the real world. This is because it is driving digital development forward with revolutionary power,” explains Jerome Evans, founder and CEO of firstcolo GmbH.<\/p>

The metaverse, as a future vision for the tech industry, is also increasingly taking shape under the influence of AI. At the same time, the next phase of digital business is being initiated in cloud computing. This is because companies are breaking new ground through technologies such as generative AI, Web3, and the metaverse. <\/p>

According to Gartner’s latest forecast, global end-user spending on public cloud services will rise significantly by 2023. Specifically, it will increase by 21.7% to $597.3 billion. For many companies, the use of AI-as-a-Service is already part of everyday life. This is because the cloud offers tailored AI services. These include, among other things, flexible resources for memory, computing power, and storage. <\/p>

AI services are booked via a dedicated dashboard. Only the resources actually used are billed. In addition, high-performance GPU computing capacities can also be rented flexibly. <\/p>

“If companies want to better protect sensitive data, they can rely on hybrid models,” Evans explains. In this case, business-critical data is stored in the private cloud. At the same time, computing power and algorithms come from the public cloud. Furthermore, public cloud providers offer sophisticated cybersecurity measures. They also ensure high reliability, which smaller data centers often cannot provide. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAn example from industrial production illustrates the benefit. If companies want to avoid unplanned machine downtime, artificial intelligence can provide targeted support. Using so-called training data, the AI learns which data patterns describe the normal state of the machines. This effect is particularly evident in the field of mobility. \n\nThe combination of big data, AI, and the cloud helps mobile employees work more productively. At the same time, it contributes to a better employee experience. “Through easy access to customer information and data analysis on mobile devices, as well as chatbots for answering routine questions, employees find their way around more quickly,” Evans explains. As a result, they focus more on personal interaction with customers and partners. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOne thing is certain: future generations of employees will act more productively, flexibly, and in a more customer-oriented manner. The challenge for managers is therefore to keep pace with the rapid progress in the use of AI technology.
